31 Days: Day Twenty Two

Though this doesn't directly relate to hospitality, I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about conversations. As I talked about at the very beginning of this series, hospitality is an extension of Christianity. That being said, so much a part of our life surrounds around conversations. I often do a poor job of this myself, being often consumed in the kingdom of self, but it is so important to truly take an interest in others. For those who would call themselves extroverts, this may be fairly easy, but for introverts it isn't as hard as you may think. Just step out of your own shell and put the other above yourself.

Simply putting others above yourself...

"Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves." (Philippians 2:3 ESV)
