Life Lately

From graduation to our one year anniversary. Soaking up everything about Athens before our move.

May 2012 has been one for the books. Though it does seems hard to top May 2011, which held my college graduation and our wedding all within seven days of each another.

The month kicked off with Nathan's doctoral graduation which still seems so surreal. May 11th, 2012 has been one we've been looking forward to since the day Nathan and I started dating. I am beyond proud of Nathan and am truly in awe of both his dedication and determination to complete his dissertation (and everything else that goes into getting a PhD).

Just ten days later we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. In some ways it seems nearly impossible that an entire year has gone by but in other ways it is hard to believe all that has transpired in this single year. What a true blessing and joy marriage has been. Marriage is an amazing thing-you see the depth of your sin so much more but are reminded of the beautiful gift of grace given by the Lord.

These days of late have been filled with all things Athens. From eating around town at our favorite restaurants to board games and road trips to Atlanta with friends. We are soaking up every bit of our time here in the Classic City before we make our move. Athens has been such a wonderful place to live for us-experiencing everything UGA and all that a college town brings. The friendships we have made are beyond priceless. We are gonna really miss Athens, but are confident in our next adventure...Jackson, Mississippi.
